Terms governing the sale and fitting of our flooring products and services.
In these terms and conditions, the following definitions apply:
These terms and conditions apply to all sales of products and services by Rimrose Carpets. By placing an order with us, whether in our showroom, by telephone, via our website or through any other means, you agree to be bound by these terms.
We reserve the right to amend these terms at any time. The terms in force at the time of your order will apply to that transaction.
These terms do not affect your statutory rights as a consumer under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and other applicable UK legislation.
We offer free, no-obligation home measuring and estimates for all our products and services. Quotes are provided based on the measurements taken and the products selected at the time of the estimate.
All quotes are valid for 30 days from the date of issue, unless otherwise stated in writing. After this period, prices may be subject to change due to manufacturer price adjustments, currency fluctuations or changes in material availability.
All prices are quoted in pounds sterling (GBP) and are inclusive of VAT where applicable. Prices include the cost of products as specified in the quote. Fitting and delivery charges, where applicable, will be stated separately on your quote.
We make every effort to ensure prices are accurate. In the unlikely event that a pricing error is discovered before completion of your order, we will contact you to confirm the correct price before proceeding. You will have the option to cancel if you do not wish to proceed at the corrected price.
Orders may be placed in person at our Bootle showroom, by telephone, or following a home visit. An order is confirmed when a deposit has been received and accepted by us.
A deposit may be required to confirm your order, particularly for special-order or made-to-measure products. The deposit amount will be clearly communicated at the time of ordering. Deposits for bespoke or cut-to-size products are non-refundable, as these items cannot be resold.
We accept payment by cash, debit card, credit card and bank transfer. Full payment is due upon or before delivery and/or fitting, unless alternative payment arrangements have been agreed in writing.
Where an outstanding balance remains unpaid after the agreed payment date, we reserve the right to charge interest at 4% above the Bank of England base rate on overdue amounts, and to suspend or cancel any outstanding work until payment is received.
We deliver across Liverpool, Merseyside, Southport, Formby, Wirral, Lancashire, Manchester, Cheshire and the wider North West of England. Delivery to addresses outside our standard service area may be available by arrangement and may incur additional charges.
We will make every reasonable effort to deliver products within the timeframe agreed at the point of order. Many stock items can be delivered within a few working days. Special-order products may take longer, and we will provide an estimated delivery date at the time of ordering. Delivery dates are estimates and not guaranteed unless explicitly agreed in writing.
You should inspect all products upon delivery. Any visible damage, defects or discrepancies must be reported to us within 48 hours of delivery. Failure to report issues within this period may limit our ability to resolve claims.
Risk in the products passes to you upon delivery. Ownership of the products passes to you upon receipt of full payment.
All fitting work is carried out by our experienced, professional installers. We take pride in delivering a high-quality finish on every job, whether it's carpet, vinyl flooring or artificial grass installation.
Fitting dates and times will be agreed with you in advance. We will make every effort to keep to the agreed schedule. In the event that we need to reschedule, we will contact you as soon as possible to arrange an alternative date.
Our quotes assume a reasonably level, clean and dry subfloor. If, upon arrival, our fitters find that additional subfloor preparation is required (such as levelling, damp treatment or removal of existing floor coverings), additional charges may apply. Where possible, we will discuss this with you before proceeding and provide a supplementary quote.
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, it is your responsibility to ensure that all furniture, personal belongings and fragile items are removed from the room(s) being fitted before our team arrives. We are not liable for damage to items left in the working area. Clear, safe access to the fitting area must be provided.
We will remove all fitting waste and off-cuts from the property upon completion of work, unless you request to keep any remnants. Removal and disposal of existing carpets or flooring is not included in standard fitting charges unless specifically quoted.
Artificial grass installation may include ground preparation, weed membrane laying, and edging. The specific scope of work will be detailed in your quote. Factors such as ground conditions, drainage requirements and access to the installation area may affect the cost and timeline of the project.
To ensure a smooth and successful experience, you agree to:
Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, if you placed your order away from our business premises (for example, during a home visit or by telephone), you have the right to cancel within 14 days of the contract being entered into, without giving any reason.
To exercise your right to cancel, you must inform us by a clear statement (by email, letter or telephone). We recommend contacting us at sales@rimrosecarpets.uk or calling 0151 933 1234.
Your right to cancel does not apply where:
If you placed your order at our Bootle showroom, the 14-day statutory cancellation period does not apply under the Consumer Contracts Regulations. However, we will always try to accommodate reasonable cancellation requests on a case-by-case basis. Non-refundable deposits for bespoke or cut-to-size products will apply.
Where a refund is due, it will be processed within 14 days of the cancellation being accepted, using the same payment method as the original transaction unless otherwise agreed.
Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, you have the right to return products that are faulty, not as described, or not fit for purpose. You must notify us of the issue as soon as reasonably practicable. We will arrange inspection and, where the fault is confirmed, offer a repair, replacement or refund as appropriate.
Many of our products carry manufacturer warranties covering manufacturing defects. The length and terms of these warranties vary by product and brand. Details will be provided at the time of purchase where applicable. Manufacturer warranties do not cover normal wear and tear, accidental damage, misuse or improper maintenance.
We guarantee our fitting workmanship for a period of 12 months from the date of installation. If you experience any issues that are attributable to our fitting work (such as lifting, rippling or loose edges) during this period, we will return and rectify the problem at no additional cost. This guarantee does not cover issues caused by subfloor movement, flooding, heavy furniture indentation, or damage caused by third parties.
Our premium artificial grass products come with a UV stability guarantee of up to 8 years, depending on the product. The guarantee covers significant colour fading due to UV exposure under normal outdoor use. It does not cover damage from heat sources (such as barbecues), chemicals, heavy vehicles or improper use.
We accept liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, and for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation. We accept liability for damage to your property caused by our negligence, subject to the limitations set out below.
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
While we make every effort to display product colours accurately, we cannot guarantee that colours shown on screen, in photographs or on samples will exactly match the final product. Minor variations in shade, texture and pattern are inherent characteristics of flooring products and do not constitute a defect. We recommend viewing products in person at our showroom before ordering.
We are committed to providing excellent customer service. If you are not satisfied with any aspect of our products or services, please contact us as soon as possible:
